Section 1: The Great Battle

Lesson 1: Warring Kingdoms

There is no neutral ground in the kingdom of God. In this lesson, you will review the origin of all spiritual conflict starting with Lucifer’s rebellion. You will discover how that spiritual root shapes the nature of conflict and warfare down through the ages. From the cosmic to the personal, this lesson sets the stage for you to understand your role, your authority, and your position of victory in the unfolding clash of kingdoms.

Lesson 2: The Rebellion of Lucifer

Lucifer was created by God as one of the chief angels in heaven. In this lesson, you will examine the nature of angels and what Scripture reveals regarding the hierarchy of these spiritual beings—from archangels to dominions, principalities, and powers denoted in the Bible. Finally, you will study the biblical record of Lucifer’s fall and the five “I Will’s” that led to his rebellion. This lesson will equip you with the spiritual antidote to Satan’s seduction and his evil quest for dominion.

Lesson 3: The Results of Lucifer’s Rebellion

The contrast of light and darkness has never been starker than when you compare the nature of the uncreated Son of God, Jesus Christ, with the fallen archangel, Lucifer. One is the kingdom of humility, and the other is the kingdom of pride. One is the kingdom of Jesus Christ, and the other is the kingdom of Satan, the fallen leader of worship.

The Bible mentions at least 14 names for Satan that mirror his characteristics and activities. In this lesson, you will examine the distinct personalities and tactics Satan employs to entice, enslave, torment, and expand the rule of his kingdom. You will be equipped with clear scriptural guidelines for recognizing the work of the devil and resisting his dominion.

Lesson 4: War in the Heavenlies

In this lesson, you will examine what the Bible reveals about the spiritual warfare taking place in the heavenly realms. Your study will include warfare narratives from the books of Revelation, Daniel, Job, the Letters of Paul, and the words of Jesus, to give you a clear vision of the five levels of spiritual conflict that resulted from Satan’s fall. You will learn about strongholds, territorial spirits, classes of spiritual forces, and the convergence of natural and spiritual rulers in the affairs of earth. This lesson will arm you with wisdom and understanding as you engage in spiritual battle.

Lesson 5: The Triumph of Christ and the Defeat of the Devil

The key to the believers’ victory in spiritual warfare is knowing what Jesus Christ has already accomplished through His life, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection. The devil’s favorite tactic is to lie and intimidate so you will back down from the battle in defeat. This lesson will position you to stand firm in the knowledge of Christ’s enthronement and your victorious position in the heavenly places with Him in order to enforce the victory He has already won.

Section 2: Our Spiritual Weapons

Lesson 6: Weapons of Our Warfare

God has equipped you with an arsenal of spiritual weapons to withstand the devil’s assault. In this lesson, you will take a fresh look at Ephesians 6:10–12 and 2 Corinthians 10:3–5. Phrase by phrase, you will break down these two famous warfare passages to discover the battle strategies, wisdom, and instruction God has hidden within. You will learn the purpose of your weapons, the boundaries and protocols for using them, and the different prayer strategies to employ for different kinds of battle.

Lesson 7: Putting on the Armor of God

This lesson goes piece by piece through the armor of God listed in Ephesians 6, examining the natural and spiritual functions of each item. Learn the defensive purpose for each item and the tactics of the enemy it is designed to deflect. This lesson will show you how to actively guard yourself, your family, and your friends from the enemy’s attacks and to exercise kingdom authority over every sphere—demons, the elements, natural laws, sickness and death, fear, your emotions… and the list goes on and on.

Lesson 8: The High Praises of God in Our Mouths

God disarmed all the satanic forces by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By praise we enforce and extend the victory already won at Calvary. The high praises of God in your mouth empower you to the maximum. This lesson will show you how to loosen the grip of the enemy, bind demonic principalities in chains, and invite God’s presence to fight your battles through praise, worship, and thanksgiving.

Lesson 9: The Powerful Names of God

God’s presence, power, and character are all contained within His names. The Bible is full of a great variety of God’s names, each one revealing an aspect of the nature of the Son of God. The names of Jesus are like a spiritual jackhammer that cause demons to flee, angels to fall prostrate, and faith to rise. One day every knee in heaven and on earth will bow before Him and confess His name. In this lesson, you will take a detailed look at the many names of God, meditate on them, be transformed by them, and learn to wield one of the greatest weapons of spiritual warfare—the authority of His powerful name.

Lesson 10: Christ’s Blood Which Speaks

We overcome by the blood of the Lamb! In this lesson, you will examine the Old Testament shadows and New Testament fulfillment of the atoning work of Jesus’ blood. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus our High Priest, covered your sin, fulfilled the law, and wrested the dominion of sin and death from the hands of the devil. Learn the seven ways Christ’s blood is speaking for you to this day, take a deeper look at the mystery and power of the Lord’s Supper, and discover how to activate the power of Jesus’ blood to overcome the devil through your confession.

Section 3: Enforcing Christ’s Victory

Lesson 11: Dealing with Territorial Spirits

Satan has established a rival spiritual kingdom in opposition to God. Satan’s objectives are to rob the Son of God of His place with the Father and the honor due Him from the people of Earth. The enemy’s goal is to control the world’s systems and receive universal worship for himself. Satan’s schemes extend beyond individuals to churches, cities, regions, and nations. In this lesson, you will discover levels of intercession that remove Satan’s legal basis to resist believers and pull-down territorial powers of the air. Learn different views on spiritual mapping and guidelines for navigating this realm of spiritual warfare.

Lesson 12: Enforcing the Victory of Calvary

The finished work of the cross has made it possible for believers in Jesus to enter into His victory and out of the authority and dominion of the devil. But Satan has never (and will never) play fair unless you enforce the victory of Calvary. He will unceasingly strive to keep you in a state of defeat, ignorance, darkness, weakness, and division. Your job is to believe in, proclaim, act out, and live by the triumph of Christ by faith. In this final lesson, you will be equipped to courageously move forward in spiritual warfare, mantled in the power and authority of Christ’s victory for the glory of God and the Lamb!

Lesson 1: Seer and Prophet: Two Prophetic Streams

The “prophet” and the “seer” represent two different dimensions of receiving messages from God to His people. The prophet is the communicative dimension, hearing primarily through words, and the seer is the receptive dimension, experiencing God’s communication mainly through pictures, visions, and dreams. This opening lesson clarifies the purpose of both giftings and explores the deep meanings of each in the original Hebrew. Both are meant to reveal the glorious wonders of Jesus Christ, God’s purpose in a generation, and the life of God to individuals in every sphere of society, the world, and more.

Lesson 2: Dimensions of the Prophetic Anointing

In this lesson, you will learn seven unique ways that the prophetic anointing can be received and released, including the purpose of each along with biblical and contemporary examples. These include dreams and visions, the proclamation of God’s corporate purpose, God’s heart standards, the church’s social responsibilities and actions, administrative strategies of God, prophetic worship leaders, and prophetic intercession. You will also discover five additional prophetic anointings the Holy Spirit wants to release more of in this day and age.

Lesson 3: Vision: The Power That Sustains

Scripture tells us that where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained (or perish). It is vital that you learn to set your sights on God’s goals and priorities for your life. Developing your capacity to see in the Spirit is part of learning to receive communication from God in all the ways He speaks. This lesson presents many examples of biblical prophetic leaders, including Jesus Himself, and looks at the ways they processed and cultivated their ability to “see” in the Spirit, thereby giving you the tools to do the same in your own life.

Lesson 4: The Diversity of Visionary States

There is only one Holy Spirit, but He works and speaks in multifaceted ways — including visionary states and experiences. In this lesson, you will explore eight different Greek words that describe unique aspects of visionary revelation, including dreams, visions while asleep, waking visions, internal or external visions, apparitions, trances, divine revelations, and to be “in the Spirit.” This lesson will explore profound examples from Scripture to expand your perception of ways you too can see spiritually!

Lesson 5: Wisely Judging Revelatory Encounters

Regardless of the various ways God speaks to us, it is imperative that you interpret the message properly to receive the wisdom, understanding, and counsel He is imparting. Subjective revelation must be checked against the Word of God. In this lesson, you will receive nine solid scriptural tests for judging and discerning such revelation, and learn how to test every spirit to find out whether it is from God, the devil, or your own flesh. You will also discuss two foundational building blocks that are essential to establish in order to grow in discernment.

Lesson 6: The Gift of Discerning of Spirits

Can you confidently discern between spirits? Discerning of spirits is the supernatural capacity to judge whether the motivating spirit behind certain words or deeds is human, demonic, or divine. This powerful spiritual gift can discern in four different categories: Holy Spirit, angels, human spirits, and evil spirits. This lesson will explore the purpose behind discerning of spirits, uncover many examples of its use in Scripture, and teach you six important guidelines for operating in this gift in your own life.

Lesson 7: Dream Language

Dreams are one of the three different avenues (along with visions and trances) of visionary revelation the Holy Spirit uses to speak into our lives. Scripture and church history, as demonstrated in this lesson, are packed with examples of God speaking to His people in dreams and He is consistent in His symbolic language. In this lesson, you will learn foundational guidelines to implement in your journey of learning to interpret dreams, first using Scripture and then your own life. You will also receive a helpful classification of symbols and colors, along with the basic principles of interpreting numbers within your dreams.

Lesson 8: Categories of Supernatural Visions,

Parts 1 & 2

In this two-part lesson, you will explore 12 different categories of supernatural visions. Each type includes a scriptural reference, a definition, examples, applications, and additional cautions or insights when relevant. Part 1 will cover spiritual perception, pictorial vision, panoramic vision, dreams (sleeping vision), audible message, and appearance (apparition), while Part 2 unwraps divine sight, open heaven, trance, out-of-body experience, translation, and heavenly visitation. These diverse supernatural visions are not just for Bible stories but are relevant for hearing from God today!

Lesson 9: The Ecstatic Realms of the Spirit

Did you know that you can be shocked, amazed, and joyfully “caught up” in your emotions due to the wondrous activity of the Holy Spirit? In an alternative response, your natural bodily functions may be temporarily “put on pause,” as with a trance. Either way, the Greek word for “trance,” ekstasis, denotes a positive experience and is where we get the word “ecstasy.” This lesson will explore different ecstatic experiences represented in Scripture and shed light on what it means to see, hear, feel, taste, touch, or even smell the presence of the Lord in an “otherly” sort of way.

Lesson 10: Standing in the Council of God

Some aspects of God’s character are very much like ours. He has revelation — or secrets — that He doesn’t just share with anyone, but rather with His intimate friends. In this lesson, you will learn what it means to stand in the council of God — whether in the body, apart from the body, or out of the body. You will also discover hindrances to receiving God’s counsel and dynamics of the fear of the Lord. Finally, you will receive wisdom ways for allowing God to be in control of your subjective experiences.

Lesson 11: Hidden Streams of the Prophetic

One way you can discover the road to greater intimacy with God is through the Christian practice of contemplative prayer. This is not a technique or “new age” approach to meditation, but rather the pursuit of experiencing communion with God Himself. Better described, contemplative prayer allows you to become aware of the presence of God and live out of that awareness. This lesson will unpack the goals and benefits of contemplative prayer, cautions and important places of balance to maintain, and how to find rest in God’s presence. It will also clarify the differences between this type of communion with God and any false comparison to practices of Eastern religions.

Lesson 12: The Key of Intimacy to Open Heavens

Our desperate need today is to be so hungry for God that we cry out for open heavens over our lives, our families, and our cities! Is Jesus “at home” in your house? God is looking for candidates in this generation who will be seated with Christ in the heavenly places and call forth God’s destiny and design into the earthly realm. In this final lesson, you’ll explore several inspiring accounts of how this has happened in the lives of believers throughout history and receive an invitation to intimately pursue the God of visitation so you can accomplish the seer’s ultimate goal — to reveal Christ Jesus!
